My family puts up with a lot from me, whenever we go on holiday I always drag them off to seek out things to paint. Portland bill is one of three lighthouses that stand on Portland, and I dragged the family there on a stormy day looking to paint waves crashing against the lighthouse. Of course when we got there it turned out to be a beautiful warm day if some what breezy. So while the kids ran over the windswept grass I found this view. I loved playing with all the textures and shadows in the rocks in the foreground, much better than waves.
